A weirdly fantastical AI music video

of the 2023 Blacksmith Rose recorded version of Irving Berlin’s 1927 jazz standard, “Blue Skies.”

This music video is a collaboration between Blacksmith Rose and Finland-based AI-animator, @Ai.vot.

Blacksmith Rose provided @Ai.vot with written descriptions of their music arrangement. They also gave @Ai.vot detailed descriptions of the musicians (and one canine) who contributed to this music recording. The imagery in the video is based on the descriptions provided by Blacksmith Rose.

Some of the likenesses of the musicians are surprisingly accurate, while other AI representations in the video are more symbolic than realistic.

This music video has visually compelling dreamscapes and AI-generated distortions that are sometimes bizarrely comical yet remain stunningly beautiful.
